Terms of Service

Effective: April 9, 2026 · Machine-readable: terms.json

The Short Version

Aethergent generates Ethereum wallets via an API. It's free, stateless, and provided as-is. We don't store your keys. You're responsible for your wallet. A human lawyer made us write the rest.

Acceptance

By using this API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What the Service Does

Aethergent performs a mathematical computation (secp256k1 key generation + Keccak-256 hashing) and returns the result over HTTPS. That's it. We are not a financial service, exchange, custodian, or wallet provider.

Permitted Use

Prohibited Use

Your Responsibilities

Generated wallets are your sole responsibility. Store private keys securely. We cannot recover lost keys. Anyone with the private key controls the wallet.

Privacy

We collect nothing. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting (in-memory only, never written to disk). No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. See our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

This service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We are not insured by the FDIC or any government agency. Digital assets are volatile, may lose value, and are not legal tender. This service is experimental.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Aethergent be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of funds, data, or profits.

Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, for any reason, without notice.

Compliance

Users must not use this service in violation of OFAC sanctions. These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Disputes resolved through binding arbitration (AAA).
